Alanis Morissette is most well-known for her autobiographical songwriting and passionate performances, as well as her evocative and engaging articles, interviews, and public speaking events. Since 1995, she has been one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music. Her deeply expressive music and performances have earned vast critical praise, including 14 Canadian Juno Awards, seven Grammy® Awards (with an additional 14 nominations), a Golden Globe nomination, and sales of over 60 million albums worldwide.
Alanis is also a charitable activist who has supported causes that focus on empowerment, art, recovery, psychological and spiritual healing, feminism, relationships, and the environment, earning her a Global Tolerance Award from the United Nations. In 2016, she launched Conversation with Alanis Morissette, a monthly podcast that features conversations with a variety of revered authors, doctors, educators, and therapists, covering a wide range of topics including psychology, art, spirituality, design, health, well-being, and relationships.
